Mark McNally has been appointed as MerCruiser's new Sales and Application Manager for New Zealand.

A qualified diesel technician who has some 15 years experience in the marine industry - including three years in a similar role in the United Arab Emirates -- Mark brings extensive and detailed knowledge to the position.

But the 38 year old is certainly not taking anything for granted.

"It's always an exciting challenge working in a new market and I know I'm going to have to build trust with our dealers and customers," he said.

"But I'm very confident, given that MerCruiser has such a strong reputation thanks to the quality of its engines and back-up support."

One of Mark's key goals will be to increase awareness among boat owners of the multiple benefits of repowering their existing craft, especially with the economy still recovering from the global downturn.

Mark replaces Chris Ethell who has stepped away from the role to pursue other interests, and he goes with MerCruiser's thanks for his efforts.
